- Once upon a time a man named
McDermott of Taverane had a dream on three
successive nights that there was a crock of gold
hidden under a flag in one of his own gardens.
He also dreamed that a man of the name of
Brennan would help him to lift the flag.On the third morning of the dream
he got up and went to the field. Just as he
was about to lift the flag a man came up to
him whom he thought was Brennan. McDermott
was a very selfish man and to have all the
