  1. Once upon a time there was a man who
    lived in Croghan in the Co. Roscommon
    and he dreamed two nights that there were
    ten crocks of gold in a little hill
    near Cloonloo.
    He gathered ten of his friends and
    set off for the hill. They went in a
    horse and cart and got to the hill
    about two o'clock in the morning. They
    dug and dug till daybreak. Then they
    came upon some sparkling little objects
    which got brighter and larger as they
    dug
    They were almost loose when out
    from the ground came ten weasels
    with razors in their mouths who attacked
    the man and his nine friends. They
    ran for their lives down the hill
    and the weasels after them
