  1. A stone which stands on Mr. Connolly's land of Moygara is said to have been cast by a Giant from Mullaghtee a distance of about three miles. It weighs about three tons.
    The Mc. Donaghs of Ballymote invited a chieftain from Donegal to dinner. Two men were sent out from Ballymote to see if they were coming. The men said that the crowd was so large that all Ballymote would not be able to feed them.
