  1. Certain days of the week are the only ones on which certain remedies for ailments are applied. Mondays and Thursdays are the days on which most of the ailments such as cancer, jaundice, head fever, foul-mouth (thrush) and heart failure are cured.
    In our district certain days and dates are looked upon as being the correct ones to plant certain crops and to begin work.
    House-building is started on Fridays.
