  1. Michael Dodd of Cloonticarn, Gurteen, Ballymote Co. Sligo, died at about the age of thirty, eighteen years ago. He was renowned for his weight - throwing and weight - lifting. He was also a great athlete. He won a cup for weight - throwing in Canada. He could straighten a cwt weight in each hand, and he could also straighten out his arms, with a cwt. weight held in each hand. He was a man of very strong build, and he was about six feet, eight inches, in height. He joined the Canadain police at
