  2. In Ireland long ago about thirty years ago either boys or girls never wore a shoe until they were fourteen or fifteen years. It depended on their parents. If their parents were rich they would have shoes at ten years and if their parents were poor they would have shoes at fourteen year. But at this time most of the people were poor.
