  1. There is a big hole on the side of this fort. One time it is said that there was a lot of fairies about this place and lights used to be seen every night. One day about ten men searched the fort. It is said that a man who is dead now got a gold Brooch valued about a hundred pounds and sold it to a Jeweler in Sligo. Shortly after, the Jeweler sent for the man and asked him did he give him the brooch. The man said he did but the Jeweler never found it afterwards.
