    the old man what happened. The old man got very angry and he got up to kill the man. When the man heard him getting up, he got the calf which was tied in the corned of the kitchen and he put him across the hearth and threw his coat over it. When the old man got up, he thought it was the man who was lying on the hearth and he drew a blow and killed the calf. When the old man saw what he had done, his heart changed, and ever after that he gave the young man plenty to eat
