  2. There is a field in Knockadalteen called "Turlough". It got that name because in Winter the water lodged in the centre of it forming a lake and in the summer months it dried up again.
    A piece of land in the corner of this district is called "Lubac" The reason it got that name is the Owen Mór river flows around it forming a semi-circle. For this reason the piece of land within the circle is called "lubac".
