- This is a prayer which never came from a book. This prayer has to be said going to bed.
"In the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ crucified
I lay me down to rest, bless me O Lord, defend and govern me that after this short and miserable pilgrimage, bring me to the everlasting life Amen."
