    slept beside a holy well in Carrigans and a man came down to him. St. Patrick gave the man a cross and told him he would be rich and holy while he would have the cross.

  2. There is a Holy Well in Upper Carrigans named Jim McGetterick's well. This well is so small that you could hardly get a bucket into it. There is a small little bush growing one side of this well. There is a big stone in the front of the Well, and there is a hollow in this stone which holds some water.
