  1. When a cow is calving this custom is carried out in some places. One person gets a sheaf of straw and rubs it to the chimney. The he brings it out to the cow-houses and shakes it under the cow.
    It is said that a person that sets a clutch of eggs on Good Friday there will be birds in the eggs.
