  1. I heard my parents talk of a woman the name of Kitty Gillispie of Carrigans Lower who could carry three twelve quart gallons of milk or water, one on each hand and one on her head.
    In olden times there was a man the name of Mac Hugh who kept running with the Mail Coach from Sligo to Dublin it is said that he was supposed to have wings on his heart.
    I heard my parents talk of a man the name of Gillispie who was sick in bed and when he got the people of the house out. He got up and walked in his bare feet from his own house in Carrigans to the Holy Well at Dromard.
