    the bread was usually put in and warmed. It was then ready for use.
    "Oaten-meal cakes" were also made in olden times. There were made in the following manner.
    Oaten-meal and sugar were obtained and mixed together. Water was usually used in wetting the meal. it was set on a pan called a "griddle pan". This pan was placed before the fire
