  1. An Old Story
    In the parish of Boyle about half a mile from the town the there is a mound called "fairy hill" situated near the Sligo road One night a man named Bartley was going home from the town about twelve O clock. Bartley was fond of a drop of the Creature (as he used to style it) and this night he had a sup taken as usual (passing for)
    As he was passing by "Fairy Hill" he saw a horse by the road-side and the horse came to him rubbed himself against Bartley "Begone out of that" says Bartley and the horse, galloped away and did the same as before "Begorra" says Bartley "it is too bad I have to walk home and you staying about here"
