    wool for some people in the district.
    Another woman Mrs. Killoran who lives in the townland of Laherdawn also has a spinning wheel and spins wool with it. Mrs. Donagher who lives in Cartronavalley has a spinning wheel and used to spin plenty of wool with it for knitting stockings for the household. This woman gave up spinning some times ago as she was getting too old for the work.
    If a death occurs in the family black is often worn by the women and the men usually wear black crepe on their sleeve.
