- Local HeroesThere was a very strong man named "Russian Walsh", living here. His real name was "Pat Walsh" but he was called the "Russian" because of his strength. He lived in Clohogue and was the best weight thrower in Sligo.My grandfather walked to Sligo and when he returned he found he had forgotten his coat. He returned to Sligo, go this coat, and came home all on the same day. This was a journey of sixty miles."James Flynn" and Michael Davey are the best story tellers in this townland.
