  1. Long ago there was a fair held in Baldwin. It used to be held twice a year on the 4th of June and the 4th of November. It used to take place in a big green field called the fair green. It was discontinued because when anyone had anything to dispute they used to fight it out at this fair.
    Some fairs are held on fairgreens and others on the streets. When anyone sells a beast he gets some silver back which is called "luck-money". If he gets a good price for his cattle
