- There used to be a fair held in Castlebaldwin in P. J. Brehney's field but it has been discontinued because there used to be fighting at it. It used to be held twice a year on the 4th of June and the 4th of November. Boyle fair is held sixteen times a year. Pigs and sheep are sold on the street and cattle are sold on the fair green.
