  1. There are at least four old ruins in this locality and they are "BaldwinsCastle", "The old barrack", "Bricklieve Castle" and "Tauwagh church". When Cromwell came to Ireland he gave land in it to his followers as a repayment to them, for the money which they gave him, when he was fighting against Charles. Baldwin was one of them and
