- I have a farm at home and there are a number of names on the fields. "The big field", "The round hill", "The pony's field", "The point of Brickeen", "Mull na shí-óg", "The Carrigeen meadow", "The far fort", "The clover field", "The lake meadow", "Dominic's meadow", "Terrie's meadow", "Hunt's garden", "Terries hill", "The green bog", and "The bottoms".
There are three ruins of houses on my farm, "Hunt's house", "Terry Ballantine's" house and "Dominic's house". Terry went away to America. Dominic went away and Mr. Hunt also went away. The "point of Brickeen" is so called because there is a point of it going out into the lake.
"Mull na Shí-óg" got that name for there is a hill and a fort on top of it. The "carrigeen meadow" got that name from the number of carrigeens that are in it. The "far fort" got its name because it is the farthest field from the house, and there is a fort in it. The "clover field"(continues on next page)- Collector
