  1. Hallow Eve fell on the thirty first of October. My mother made a sweet cake, and put a ring in it. Then she made tea, and we were all trying to get the ring. My brother got it, and we were making fun of him, and telling him he would be married first.
Then I got a tub of water, and put a nut into it. I was trying to catch the nut in my mouth. After that, I tied an apple from the ceiling, and tried to catch it in my mouth too. Then I broke cabbage and threw it out on the road. Then I sat down at the fire, and told stories until it was time to go to bed.
