  1. In most districts many feasts are observed in a special manner as they occur.
    Saint Stephen's Day falls on the 26th of December; the boys in the district gather together and go in procession from house to house, they bring musical instruments and play music at every house, the people give money to them.
    The money is divided among them equally Some dress in women's clothes and others in men's clothes.
    All the boys wear false faces.
    May Day falls on the first of May, all the girls gather flowers and make altars with them and shake them in cowhouses in honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
    On Easter Sunday the young people in the district gather eggs and they have picnics out in the fields in the afternoon.
    Whit Sunday falls fifty days
