It is the sign of good weather if the sun goes down very red in the evening. It is the sign of bad rain if there is clouded ring round the moon. If there is a rainbow in the sky, if there are swallows flying low, if the cat washes her face, if the god is eating grass, if you hear a very distant noise, if you see the clouds moving very quickly.
It is the sign of frost if the stars move from place to place in the sky.
It is the sign of heat to see a mist rising from the lakes and the sea.
