  1. A Land-lord named Thompson lived in Alderford. One day he saw the people going to "Lasar well" and he said to his servant "get my horse and car and I will put a stop to this". The horse ran into a quarry and killed the Land-lord and himself. The boy escaped.
    "Lasar is a blessed well on the right hand side of the Ballyfarnon-Keadue road.
