- Nail making
Some hundred years ago in the townland of Drumacool there lived a nail-maker about one hundred yards from where my house is situated. He lived in a hollow on my Grandfathers land along the side of a brae and that brae is called the Nailor's brae. Behind his little hut he had a kind of forge in which he made the nails of rod iron, the nails he made were something similar to the horse nails we use now.
