    Nowadays not many people wear clogs but in my district Pat Early, and Mrs. Golden wear them. The soles are made of wood and around the top is a piece of tin and the remainder of them are made of leather. The people nowadays say that clogs are very unhealthy for wearing. Because if a person is wearing clogs and has to go a long distance on foot his feet sweat and gets sore walking on the wooden soles.

  2. In former times the people never wore shoes until they were fourteen or fifteen years. Some of them never wore a shoe. Mrs. Brun of St. James's Well never wore s shoe in the summer time.
