    About a century ago there lived in Cloonamahan a landlord by the name of merethith. This man owned a great many acres of land and a big garden and house which is now known as St Patricks Sanatoruim. This man was a harsh cruel villain and never thought of anything but charging high rates. He never stopped charging high rates until everybody's money was gone and then he levelled their houses to the ground and turned them
