  1. There is a great big hospital about a half a mile from my house named Saint Patrick's Sanatorium. It was a great house long ago where a lot of men worked. There is a great garden and house where two men always work. Long ago the Merediths and Kingcades lived in that house. There was a chapel and a grave yard there years ago. It is said it moved away one night and it rested first at lough Cronan and then moved as far Kilmorgan and stayed there. There is a great big ash tree at Cloonamalion where mass was said in olden times. On the old road leading to Cloonamahon a yound man was thrown from his horse and killed against a rock. He is still to be heard talking to his horse and cracking his whip and it is now called
