  1. The whooping cough is cured by walking out under an ass foal's legs.
    A thorn was taken out in former times by leaving a foxes tongue over the place where the thorn was.
    Bee Sting. If the bee is allowed to draw out the blood when he is seen stinging a person then the sting will not affect that person. A bee's sting a wasp's sting and a clag's sting are cured by putting a blue bag into water and squeezing it down on the sting.
    A sprain is cured by holding the spot where sprain is under a waterfall.
    Eye trouble. Hugh Gallagher makes ointment for sore eyes. He gathers herbs and pounds them. Then he mixes butter with the pounded herbs.
    A hiccough is cured by take a drink of water.
    A cold is cured in this way: warm butter-milk and sweeten it with about two spoons of sugar and then drink it.
    A burn. If soap is scrubbed on the affected part immediately after getting the burn it will be alright. Miss Benson, [?] makes ointment for curing burns. She makes it out of herbs and oil.
