  1. James Mcloughlin and his brother Francis of Bella were the best stone throwers in the district forty years ago. They are about twenty years dead. James was about seventy years and Francis was years old when they died. They could throw a fifty six pound weight twenty feet. Forty years ago Michael Morrow of Bella used to catch rabbits by running after them. Ned Mullen and James McGwinn both of Bella were the best step-dancers in the district.
    Paddy Mullen Bella was a dancing-master for eight years. He is about fifty seven years. Ned Mullen of Bella was Paddy Mullen's father. He was the best jumper in the townland in his day. He could jump a distance of twelve feet. He was sixty seven years when he died in 1906.
