    About a hundred years ago Tom Drummy Of Bella, Collooney, dreamt three nights in succession about a pot of gold that was under a bush in the corner of his own field. As this gold cannot be got without a life being lost he never dug for it.

  2. In former times the people in our district used to walk to Sligo 10 miles away to the market and back home again the same day. They also used to walk to a place called Bowemore a few miles below Sligo and return home the same day. Their business there was at races or sports. The best step-dancer in this locality is Patrick Mullen
