    The girl answers "Jennie Jo is dead in bed, dead in bed, dead in bed, Jennie Jo is dead in bed you can see her now." All the children stand still and say. What shall we dress her in, dress her in, dress her in? What shall we dress her in? The tall girl says "Dress her in blue."
    Children: "Blue for the bluebells etc. and that will not do."
    Children: "What shall we dress her in, dress her in etc."
    Tall girl: "Dress her in black."
    Children: "Black for the devils etc." and that will not do.
    Children: "What shall we dress her in etc., What shall we dress her in."
    Tall girl: "Dress her in white."
    Children: "White for the angels etc. and that will just do."
    Tall girl: "Carry her to the dead house etc."
    The children then lift the small girl and carry her to the "dead house." The "dead house" is a den which has been arranged beforehand
