  1. In my district of Castledargon the landlord's name was Mr. Ormsby. He was living where Mor Hosie is living now, and by all accounts of the people of the district he was not a very good man. If he only got a person cutting a load of rods he would put them to jail for a week.
    It was to him that the people paid the rent and if it was not paid on the first of November he would evict the people out of their house and then thrown the houses so that they would not get in again to them. The poor people that were evicted went to the poor house in Sligo.
    Tithes were gathered in my district of Castledargon also. If a person lost his last beast a collection was made up and given to him to buy another one. Those tithes were not to pay
