  1. The next townland to mine is Kilnamonagh, and here reside Mrs. Conry in front of whose house is a large fort. It is round in shape and it is supposed to be the dwelling place of fairies.
    Many years ago a man named John Beirne of Largan, Collooney, was rambling in James Davey's of Kilnmonagh. After passing the late hours of the night he left the house between one and two o'clock, and on his way home he was surrounded by a mass gathering of huntsmen and horses,
