These are some of the marriage customs the people used to have long ago:
1. The bride and groom were to go home a different route to that taken on the way to the church.
2. Not to marry in lent or you are sure to repent.
3. Marry in blue your lover is true.
4. Marry in yellow you are ashamed of your fellow.
5. Marry in white you are sure to be right.
6. Marry in green you are ashamed to be seen.
