  1. Some years ago when a couple were getting married it was a great event.
    All the friends and neighbours were invited to the big feast.
    The young members of the party went to the church with the bride and Groom and when the marriage ceremony was over they drove on side cars for a long distance usually ten or fifteen mils, this was considered a long distance at that time. This gave the people at the bride's house time to prepare the dinner for the party when they returned.
