  1. One day while Fionn Mac Cumaill was hunting he came to a wide chasm between two rocks. It was so deep that the river running below could not be heard on the bank above. On (the) one (o) side of the chasm was a beautiful lady. On the other side were several men. Fionn asked the meaning of it all. He was told that the lady would marry whoever would jump the chasm. So Fionn jumped the chasm and claimed the lady as his wife.
