Everyone in this locality takes care of their feet. Long ago the children did not go to school until they were eight and nine years old, and wore no shoes until they were twelve years or more and took no care of their feet like the children now a days wash their feet every day and never leaves off their shoes only for a month or so in the summer time. They are always complaining of sore feet now not like long ago at all.
