  1. Friday is counted a lucky day for moving from one house to another and it is also looked upon as being a lucky day for starting any new work. Mondays and Thursdays are looked upon as being lucky days for applying remedies for cure of ringworm. The cross day of the year is not known in the district. It is said if the cuckoo calls on a person before he had his crops planted he is counted late. Good Friday is said to be a lucky day for planting.
