  1. Long ago there was a football match played in this district. The teams that played were all the townlands gathered together and an equal number of men went on each side The Football match was played near the townland of Fallathirteen. The players used to wear no special dress. There was no referee long ago but the best player was called the referee. A football was used. There was no goal posts used but the space for the goal was marked with lines. long ago the people played weight throwing and handball.
