  1. The Local Patron Saint.
    The Saint tradiionally connected with this district is Eunan. There is no church ruined or in use existing around here. The townland of Tubberunane is called after him and Tubberurnane means Enan's well because he used to come from Skreen a long distance for the water for his tea every day. One day Eunan was coming to the well and it was raining very heavy and he stood up with his can and said I wished there was a nice spring well just here. Then he looked down and saw the water springing up so he was very thankful to God for having the well so near him. It is said he used to pray at Tubb-
