  1. Long ago there was an old forge in this townland. It belonged to a man named Gallagher. In the landlord's time the people had to leave this country and go to America. Gallagher, the blacksmith was one of those who went.
    The forge is not to be seen now. The stones that were in it are now built in the fences nearby. The field in which it was built belongs now to a man named Joe Swift.
