  1. Long ago there was an old forge in the townland of Ballymoghenry. It was situated on a field in Michael Wright's farm. The smith was called Seán-a-Ghabha and ever since the field in which the forge was situated is called Seán-a-Ghabhas
    When his death occurred there were bad times in Ireland and no one was able to take up his job. A few years after his death the forge fell and only the remains of it are to be seen now.
