- 1. There is a holy well near Ballina, Co Mayo. It is called the fountain of the One Horn. St. Patrick baptized many people there. It is said that he baptized in one day twelve thousand people in that well.
The well is situated close to the railway station.
2. There is another holy well on the edge of the Ox Mountains. It is called Corann. There is a large rock close at hand which is called the altar. It is said that St. Patrick said mass there.- Collector
