    My father owns a farm. Two fields on his farm are called Lawrence's fields.

    My father owns a farm. Two fields on his farm are called Lawrence's fields. They got this name from an old man named Lawrence who lived there about one hundred years ago. He lived in a little sod house. When he died my grandfather got that land and ever since it is called Lawrence's land.
