Mumps

Make a horse hair halter and put it round the neck of the person who is suffering from mumps, then lead him in and out the pig-sty door three times and say each time,
"a mhuc, mhuc, chugat an leicneach"

Heat salt and put it in a wool stocking and tie it round the neck of the person who has mumps.
