  1. In the penal days, in the townland of Muingwar a priest named Father Cowley lived in a cave under the ground.
    One night the English soldiers were on his tracks. They went into a house in that district and they were talking of his whereabouts and saying they would catch him that night.
    The woman of the house stole out through a room window and went to warn Father Cowley.
