  1. In the townland of Kileenduff, Easkey, Co. Sligo a remarkable rock is to be seen. It is called the Split Rock because it is split in two halves.
    An old story told about this rock states that long ago two giants wanted to marry a certain girl. The girl said she would marry the one that would be able to throw a stone from the Oz Mountains into the sea.
    The two giants ascended to the top of the mountains and the first giant threw the rock into the sea, the other one threw it but it did not reach the sea,
