  1. My father's farm is situated in the townland of Rathglass, in the parish of Castleconnor, barony of Tir Fiacrac and County Sligo. It is called Rathglas because there is a fort in James Jones's field. There are sixteen houses in it and sixty-four people. There are two thirds of the house thatched and galvanised and the rest are slated. Each farmer has about thirty acres of land. The most of hte people make their living on farming. The most of the farmers are married. There are four shops in it and one public-house. There is also a church and a post-office on the side of the main road. It is a mile from the national
